Photo Friday: Big Sur, Giant Tree

This is my first foray into the Delicious Baby Photo Friday. Here goes...

This picture was taken this past March in Big Sur, California. Our stop here was part of our family trip down the Pacific Coast Highway. B & E were really excited to actually be able to go inside a tree! To me, this picture really represents one part of the wide spectrum of environments we saw in California, which was everything from the hills and cable cars of San Francisco to the heat and desert atmosphere of Desert Springs.

I love Big Sur, but haven't been back since I had kids. Very cute photo.

Oh, those trees have witnessed so much. Don't you wish they could talk... tell you about all of the changes they've seen. And how many children have climbed inside, too! :)

What a beautiful shot. I remember exploring those forests as a kid. The huge trees and the layers of greenery just seemed so mystical to me.

Thanks for joining us this week!

I love huge old trees like this. You get them in Australia too, but not so much in Europe sadly.

Big Sur, what a memory, from WAY BACK. My brother wandered off and panic struck my parents. Why? cause Big Sur was a hang out for HIPPIES!! and they were smoking and laying about nude all over. what year was this. . .?? 1965. my brother was 5 and I was 7. We thought the place was very Cool. . . my parents decided to choose Yosimite for our next family vacation. thanks for bringing back a funny memory.
